Dementia: End Stage of Life
Course Description:
In this course you will learn to recognise and respond to the unique challenges that may be encountered when caring for a person with dementia in the end stage of life.
Learning Outcomes:
- Discuss what is meant by the end stage of life
- Recognise the particular challenges associated with providing care at the end stage of life for people with dementia
- Implement practical strategies to address these challenges ensuring dignity and choice during the end stage of life
Who is this course appropriate for:
This course is appropriate for RNs, ENs, Cert IV staff and care staff as well as unpaid carers who support a person/people living with dementia.
Continuing Professional Development Hours:
Up to eight (8) hours can be earned completing this course.
You can earn one (1) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hour by completing the video and assessment questions. If you wish to extend your learning and earn up to an additional seven (7) CPD hours, you may download the extension exercise which is attached to this course.
