Clinical Skills: Managing Stoma Care
Course Description:
You may encounter individual's in your daily routine, who live with a stoma to assist waste to leave the body. In this course you will develop the skills required to observe, manage and monitor a stoma in the older person. And explore how to identify, prevent and report potential complications.
Learning Outcomes:
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Define a stoma and the different types of stoma/ostomies
- Explain the care of the stoma/ostomy
- Identify and treat complications

This course is appropriate for experienced Care Staff, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Management.
