Course Description:
Explain how to provide appropriate and inclusive support to people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex. Discuss the importance of acknowledging and supporting an individual’s lifestyle.
Learning Outcomes:
After completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Define who are the LGBTI communities
- Explain why the LGBTI communities may experience difficulties moving into aged care
- Discuss the government strategies to improve the inclusivity of aged care and how to create inclusive services
